At Swish, we only work with those special properties that meet our strict criteria and match our philosophy.

Our tick list works across several levels. Starting with the location, we make sure every property is well placed for a luxury holiday in the most sought-after areas of Marbella. We undertake a 360 review, analysing how easy it is to access the property and to park, what time of day it gets the sun and how that affects the space as well as what it close by.  We then look at the property’s amenities, it’s overall interior design, aesthetics and outdoor areas to relax in. It goes without saying we also look at practical features like any security in place, whether the property has sufficiently fast wifi and how well equipped the kitchen is.

The Swish Factor

Even if a potential new rental listing ticks many boxes, it still has to have “Swish factor.” We tenderly remark that all our villas and apartments must give us a love at first sight feeling and we know it when we see it. Guests do not just come to Marbella to look at a pretty interior, they come to use it so part of that overall impression is understanding the way it will be lived in.

We ask ourselves questions like How would we like to sip a coffee on this terrace? How would we like to wake up to a view like this?, Or, could we see a family of four using this space? And we factor all this into the mix. Some properties just don’t make the grade, regardless of how big the pool is or how close they are to the beach.

The Vetting Process

Once we agree to work with an owner to list a luxury apartment with us, we still undertake a rigorous vetting process. This gives guests peace of mind. We often visit a property more than once to get a really good feel for it and we like to meet the owner face to face too when we can.  Only when we are happy to work with a place and confident it has passed our test do we then send our content team of a copywriter and photographer if required.  There is never any danger of an apartment making it onto our platform that has not had the full Swish review.

Before any check-in we also complete an inspection, ensuring that everything is just so.  We can only do this by checking in person and this a fundamental part of how we have built our solid reputation.
