Food is one of our specialist subjects. We spend a lot of time pounding the streets and sampling the delicacies in the far corners of Marbella so you don’t have to. Here are our top picks from the un-discovered gems of the city.
1. Primeria Selection
Stunning wine bar and cellar with delectable cheese, Spanish ham, tapas and oysters.
If you love good quality food, wine and sherry this is the place for you. We can’t get enough of their Burrata salad with pistachio pesto and candied tomatoes.
Where to find it? In the center of Marbella, calle Notario Luis Oliver
2. Los Marinos Jose – Fuengirola
One of the best restaurants in Spain, and possibly the world (!) – and a favourite of Dani Garcia, this restaurant is on the foodie’s trail but only for those in the know. Sourcing the freshest ingredients from the sea, eating here is well worth the trip out of Marbella. Our suggestion? Coquinas a la plancha.
