Renters can live practically anywhere, while homeowners are restricted to areas where they can afford to buy. Living in an expensive area may be out of reach for most home buyers, but it is entirely possible for renters. Although rents can be high in areas where home values are also high, often renters can find a more affordable monthly payment than home buyers.
2. Experience the area before committing
What lies beneath the surface of that “up and coming” area? When the agent tells you the district is great for commuting, how long will you really be sitting in traffic? What kind of neighbours will you have? These are all the things you can only really experience by staying in a place.

If you have wanderlust, why not just enjoy not having to commit a little longer? In Marbella you could explore different areas to live in for a few months at a time from San Pedro de Alcantara, Nueva Andalucia or further out in resorts like Elviria.
