Marbella is beautiful, fact! This prized resort of The Costa Del Sol offers any keen instagrammer a choice of venues to create memorable content, but how do you actually take pictures that will look good with an iphone? Sunny conditions can add to the challenge, so read on for our tips to take the best shots possible with your mobile even when itโs 30 degrees in the shade.
-
Clean your Lens
We carry our phones about all day, and a smeared lens will ruin your composition before itโs even begun.
-
Donโt Shoot into the Sun
Generally itโs best to have the sun behind you. There are other ways to exploit the lighting but as a beginner we recommend keeping things simple to avoid lens flare or excessive shadows.
-
Taking a Sunset Shot? Make sure the horizon is level
Use the camera grid lines to check that you have got the horizon level, trust us it makes a difference.
-
Follow the Rule of Thirds
What is the rule of thirds? In composition, you can divide the screen into thirds and arrange your subject so their centre is on one of the thirds of the screen. This will give a balanced shot.
-
Avoid the Camera Zoom
A zoom feature may give grainy images, so we recommend instead that you get closer to your subject.
-
Choose a Picturesque Venue
Luckily for you, this is Marbella. Take your pic (no pun intended) from several seascapes, pretty sunsets or views from your Swish Villa. Some of our top recommendations are The Marbella Old Town with its charming streets, yachts in Puerto Banus or the beach of The Golden Mile.
