‘Rock music’ and ‘Marbella’ don’t always get used in the same sentence. There is something about the glitz and glamour of Marbella’s Old School Chic which seems to contradict it: But, did you know that the Starlite Festival has some wonderful rock acts this summer, such as Iggy Pop who is playing on August 2nd? (We can’t wait!) Additionally, there are plenty more artists that may float your boat at the Cala de Mijas festival, which takes place from 31st August to 2nd September. Headliners include The Strokes, Underworld and Florence and The Machine.
Pop Music in Marbella in 2023
Do you love modern pop music and chart hits? Take your pick, as Marbella has it all lined up for you this summer at The Starlite Festival. From Spanish sensations David Bisbal and Lola Indigo to feel good acts like Mika: (yes you can “Relax, Take it Easy” but you probably won’t get any of his chart topping songs out of your head!) Nestled in the heart of Andalusia, it’s no surprise that both Spanish and Latin rhythms resound loudly and proudly throughout Marbella. Prepare for an extraordinary Reggaeton festival in San Pedro de Alcantara on the 8th and 9th of July, showcasing the very best of this genre.

Look out for DJs and live events at beachclubs like Nao Pool Club which has Kisstory returning for 2023. Playa Padre is another beach club with plenty of live sets, and another top pick: La Sala by the Sea. Of note, in July 2023 you can experience afrobeats at the Hard Rock Hotel pool. Why not try it for something different?
Tribute Acts in Marbella in 2023
If you fancy dancing the night away to Abba, Tina Turner or an artist like Cher, then you can really go for it in Marbella. And when you can’t have the real thing, then a tribute band may be just what you need. If you are looking for a fun night out, then one option is Meksian restaurant in Puerto Banus or another, La Sala Restaurant and club.
