Best for Steak: Leña

Dani Garcia’s Leña at Puente Romano is a veritable delight- both for its cuisine and the experience. From the moment you enter, will be impressed by the opulent gold décor and of course the mouth-watering cuisine. Choose from appetising dips and other starters, then feed your hungry inner carnivore with the best cuts of meat, prepared just how you like it. One piece of advice, however, is that you must leave room for dessert- the deliciousness of the famous  ‘Tarta de Rosa’, served with buttery ice cream cannot even be put into words. You’ll just have to trust us on this one, the restaurant prepares 50 a day, and when they’ve gone, they’ve gone.

Best for Romance: Casanis Bistrot

An upscale bistro with French and Belgian inspired cuisine, sure to provide plenty of charm and a beautiful setting for a wonderful meal with loved ones.  We can’t fault the bouillabase or the escargot, paired of course, with high quality wine.

Bistrot Casanis can be found in the Old Town, at Calle Ancha, 8, 29601 Marbella, Málaga

Best Seafood: El Ancla

El Ancla is the place to sample some of the best seafood the coast can offer, with fresh locally caught tuna and other fish, as well as sushi.  You will be spoilt.  What’s more, El Ancla is a unique and stunning setting- an upmarket pool club located in a quiet and tranquil part of San Pedro de Alcantara.  Try a long lunch with a paella and wine or a superbly baked sea bass.

It’s an iconic meeting point and lounge venue, where you will want to spend time- as much time as possible!  Whether you visit by day with a long coffee, peruse a good book in the afternoon or meet friends for a cocktail, you can here.  For dinner, there’s a well- put together a menu of salads, fresh fish and vegetables and over lunch there are wood fired pizzas too. Take your pick.

Zoizoi is a go-to in The Old Town where the chefs sprinkle their magic over the best seasonal produce.  Try their ribs, vegetable dishes or even pizza, and follow it all with their fondant chocolate pudding. Divine! Inside the restaurant, there’s a choice of the outdoor terrace or interior courtyard, which provides for an extremely pretty backdrop for your meal.
