Film, TV and Videos Shot on Location in Marbella

Film, TV and videos shot on location in Marbella

Marbella is a magnet for high profile stars of stage and screen. The resort even hosts its own annual film festival in October. It’s hardly surprising that Marbella’s glitz, glamour and scenery have attracted and fostered long-standing connections with international icons including Antonio Banderas, Sean Connery and Eva Longoria. But, did you know that in addition to charming many stars to visit, Marbella is also a popular location for shooting international film, TV and music videos?

Why Is Marbella a Popular Film Location?

If the climate and wonderful blue skies were not reason enough, the terrain here offers plenty of variety with beaches, white villages and mountains. In fact, the area offers film crews plenty of scope to film here but portray areas as diverse as California and Japan. Add into the mix the fantastic experience film crew can have in Marbella, the possibility of glamorous after parties and hopefully some precious time-out on the beach, and it’s not hard to see why it’s a common choice.

Malaga province has already provided the backdrop for shows you may know. The likes of The Crown, a high-profile international series and ToyBoy, the Netflix smash-hit have been filmed in Marbella.

Impressive, but there are more…
